About Sydney

Sydney Agger is a 3D animator and illustrator with a Master of Science in Biomedical Visualization from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She received her bachelors degree in Biology, with a minor in Psychology, from Mount Holyoke College in 2016. After graduating, she joined the laboratory of Dr. Edmund Hollis II at the Burke Neurological Institute. Sydney’s main research focus was the development of automated behavioral tasks to evaluate corticospinal tract-dependent forelimb function in mouse models of spinal cord injury. Shortly after joining the lab, Sydney began creating illustrations for the lab and others in the institute. During her time at Burke, it became apparent how necessary the visual communication of research is, both within the research community and to the general public.
